Union dues.

Ever been tired of seeing part of your dues head off to ALPA national for the express purpose of providing lobbying power for ALPA represented regoinal airline pilots that are threatening your job?
Perhaps it is time for your dues to go elsewhere?
Is this possible?
The answer is yes.
You may, by virtue of Federal Law have your dues, in whole or in part depending on the conditions, redirected to a charity of your choice.
The link for this information is:

Of course if you do this you don't get to wear your pin.

  1. Thanks for posting this, Andrew, and great meeting you in ops the other day. Here's a great article in the WSJ to support this post:

  2. UPS pays half what we do in dues and make twice as much.

Can we at least try an independent union (like UPS) before we start giving money to charity.

ALPA's support of UAX is a conflict of interest.

An independent union is the only reasonable response to ALPA's support of UAX. Let ALPA become the regional airline union, they certainly have not represented my best interests.
